  • Yarn:  3 skeins Noro Kureyon 185

Butterfly by Rosa-Maria

  • Yarn:  12 ½ skeins Noro Kureyon 212
  • Pattern:  Butterfly from Noro Knits by Jane Ellison
  • Rosa-Maria says, “I had to knit it twice since the first one was too large on me...Size M...although I normally would wear a Medium. Then, I knitted the Size S and it is just perfect. I had to reinforce the shoulders so they would sit right on my shoulders. The yarn is of excellent quality...warm and breathable...and it's a delight to work with.”
  • Your perseverance really paid off; the sweater is beautiful!  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Lizard Ridge Afghan by Jean

  • Yarn:  21 skeins Noro Kureyon assorted colors
  • Free pattern:  Lizard Ridge Afghan from Knitty Fall 2006
  • Wow, Jean, your afghan is spectacular!  Thanks for sharing such a gorgeous project with us.
  • The Lizard Ridge pattern is one of the more ingenious uses of Kureyon's long color repeats.  I'm sure Jean would agree since she just started Lizard Ridge #2!

Slip Up Socks by Beverly

  • Yarn:  Araucania Ranco Multi 302
  • Free Pattern:  Slip Up Socks by Dee Bamford
  • Gauge: 8.5 stitches on 2.25 needles
  • Beverly says, "LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Have I mentioned how much I love this yarn? No pooling, striping, nothing just smooshy color all over, and very soft and great feel."
  • As you know, Ranco is one of my favorite sock yarns, even if it's part of my never-ending Pomatous.  Great job Beverly!

Crocheted Wave Afghan by Carlene

  • Yarn:  Noro Kureyon - 35 assorted colors
  • Pattern:  Crochet Wave Afghan that was a special purchase from The Village Yarn & Tea Shop.  Please contact them for more information.  It was inspired by the knitted Lizard Ridge Afghan from Knitty Fall 2006.
  • I think we all know why Carlene is smiling; your afghan is wonderful!

Hat by Diana

  • Pattern:  Robert's Flat Brimmed Felted Hat the Revised Felted Hat Pattern from Great Gals Hats by Gail Strobl.
  • According to Diana, "The yarn is so great it practically knit and felted itself.  Be prepared for a wonderful knitting adventure.  When first felting, this yarn looked like I would have the Cat in the Hat's version of striped rings.  Just keep felting to size and it will be beautiful.  I shorted the crown 10 rows, but I don't think I would a second time.  The hat is warm and I hardly ever take it off."
  • I see why you don't take it off since your hat turned out great!

Rosedale by Denise

  • Yarn: 11 skeins Noro Kureyon color 153
  • Free Pattern:  Rosedale by Amy Swenson
  • Gauge: 18 stitches/24 rows to 4"
  • According to Denise, "So much has been said about this yarn. I hated the twigs & knots but have to admit it is beautiful when finished.  Loved the pattern!"
  • I couldn't agree more with your assessment on Kureyon and your sweater did turn out beautifully!
